AGM Venue changed due to heat wave

Players, members and elected committee members of 2018 are welcome to attend the AGM this Thursday, Feb 28 now at club sponsor ‘The Local’.

Bay Street, Port Melbourne.

A brief summary of season 2018 will be presented, followed by the 2019 committee election.

All positions are available for nomination including:

President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Football Manager
General Committee Members

Nominations have closed, however any positions that didn’t receive a nomination by Feb 21 can be nominated for on the night.

You can nominate yourself as long as you are a financial member and seconded by a financial member.

If a nominee or nominator are not financial members, and you would like to know how to proceed, or, for any queries relating to the election, please contact Club President, Duva on 0422766054.

In addition to committee positions up for election, I would like to also remind all that there are still voluntary positions such as raffles coordinator and council liaison officer that are often assigned to general committee members, however these (or similar) positions don’t require committee membership as such. If you would like to learn more about these positions, contact Duva as we need all the help we can get! .

2019 memberships & sponsorship packages will be released next week and available to purchase.

In 2019 our club has joined with the juniors to match our branding in the first step towards marketing our two clubs as one. Jump on board and look the part with Club merchandising (and player sponsorship) now available to purchase via our store: https://portmelbournecolts.teamapp.com/store

If you purchase by tomorrow, you will receive your items prior to round 1. If purchased after tomorrow, it will be round 3. Keep an eye on the store as more items are coming.

Player sponsorship covers all players league fees, insurances, game jumper, shorts, polo etc along with a polo for the sponsor and social media advertising and a tax donation receipt. If you are interested in sponsoring a player, please get in touch with the club as there are plenty of players in need of a sponsorship.

Just a reminder to lock in a couple dates for upcoming events:

28 Feb: AGM @ The Local in Port Melb 7pm.

7 March: Intra-Club match. 6pm @ Murphys Reserve.

16 March: Inter-Club match against Yarraville Football Club. Ground TBA

23 March: Inter-Club match against Albion Football Club. Ground TBA

30 March: Stallions Lunch with senior coach Lindsay Gilbee and TBA special guest. All details on this event will be announced early March TBA.

5 April: Season Opener FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.

Just a reminder that our season opener will be at home, and again for the Bird Cup on a Friday night. April 5, Reserves from 5.30pm where they will be unveiling their 2018 Premiership flag. Senior game will be from 730pm and looks to be streamed live on social media. This will be a family friendly event with designated alcohol zones. More details TBA – Keep the date free!

The season is around the corner and we are shaping up to be a dominant force in 2019, so get behind the club any way you can.
